Understanding PM-KISAN status issues

eKYC is mandatory
The official PM-KISAN portal states that eKYC is mandatory for registered farmers. OTP-based eKYC is available through the official portal or mobile app, while biometric eKYC can be completed through CSCs. The official eKYC note also describes face authentication through the PM-KISAN mobile app.
Why benefits may be withheld
The official portal notes that benefits may be temporarily withheld for suspected exclusion cases until physical verification is completed. Examples include certain land ownership changes after 01-02-2019 and cases where more than one family member may be receiving benefits.
Practical checklist
- Check status only through the official "Know Your Status" feature.
- Complete eKYC through official PM-KISAN, PM-KISAN mobile app, CSC, or other authorized route.
- Verify Aadhaar-bank seeding and bank account status with your bank if payment is not received.
- For land record or verification issues, contact the local agriculture/revenue office.
