PM-KISAN eligibility, explained carefully

PM-KISAN provides income support to eligible landholding farmer families. Final identification and validation are handled by State and UT administrations, not by this website.

Use the official portal for status decisions

Only the official PM-KISAN systems, state authorities, and designated offices can confirm whether a farmer is eligible, pending verification, or excluded.

Core benefit described by official sources

The official PM-KISAN portal states that the scheme is funded by the Government of India and provides income support of Rs. 6,000 per year in three equal installments to eligible landholding farmer families. The NIC project page also describes PM-KISAN as a direct benefit transfer system for farmer families across India.

Common exclusion categories

The official portal lists higher-economic-status categories that are not eligible. These include institutional landholders, certain present or former constitutional post holders, many serving or retired government employees, pensioners with pension of Rs. 10,000 or more, income tax payers in the last assessment year, and registered professionals such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, and architects carrying out practice.

This is a summary only. Always confirm details on the official portal or with the local agriculture/revenue office.
