How to correct common PM-KISAN status errors
Many farmers experience delays in receiving their installments due to verification errors in their profiles. This article outlines the official methods to identify and resolve these common errors.

1. Land Seeding Status: "No"
This is one of the most common reasons why payments are suspended. It means that the local land records department has not verified or linked your land ownership details with your PM-Kisan profile.
How to resolve:
- Locate Land Documents: Collect your latest land possession certificate (LPC) or land revenue receipt (Khata/Khasra details).
- Visit Local Authorities: Take these documents to your local Circle Office (Tehsildar) or Block Agriculture Officer. They must verify and upload your records to the state portal, which then syncs with the central database.
- Online Verification (in supported states): Some state governments allow updating land seeding status via their state-specific land records portals. Check if your state provides this utility.
2. Aadhaar Demo Auth Status: "Failed"
This happens when the name, gender, or date of birth in your PM-Kisan application does not match the information on your Aadhaar card.
How to resolve:
- Online Correction Portal: Visit the official portal at pmkisan.gov.in and look for the "Name Correction as per Aadhaar" tool under the Farmer's Corner.
- Enter Registration Details: Input your registration number or Aadhaar number, then edit the spelling of your name to match your physical Aadhaar card exactly.
- Offline Assistance: If the online tool fails to update, visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or district agriculture department desk for manual correction.
3. Bank Account / Aadhaar Seeding: "No"
Under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) rules, installments can only be paid to bank accounts linked (seeded) with Aadhaar and mapped with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) mapper.
How to resolve:
- Contact Your Bank: Visit your bank branch and submit a consent form for Aadhaar Seeding and NPCI mapping. Ask the bank officer to link your account to receive DBT payments.
- Open an India Post Payments Bank Account: If your regular bank is unable to update the NPCI mapping, many state agricultural departments recommend opening a savings account with India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), which automatically sets up DBT mapping.
- Check Linkage Status: You can verify your Aadhaar-Bank mapping status online through the official UIDAI website (Aadhaar Resident portal).
