Farmer safety
How to avoid fake PM-KISAN websites and messages
PM-KISAN involves sensitive details such as Aadhaar, mobile number, bank linkage, and benefit status. That makes farmers a target for fake websites, unofficial APKs, and OTP scams.
Simple rule
Do not enter Aadhaar, OTP, bank, mobile, or registration details on unofficial websites. Use the official PM-KISAN portal, official mobile app, CSC, or authorized government channels.
Warning signs
- The page claims it can release installments, approve applications, or fix payment status instantly.
- The site asks for OTP, Aadhaar, bank account details, or app installation outside official channels.
- The domain looks similar to the official portal but is not pmkisan.gov.in.
- The page uses urgent language such as "last chance", "instant payment", or "verify now or lose benefit".
- The page has no clear owner, no correction policy, and no source links to official documents.
Safer habits
Type the official domain directly in the browser, or use a bookmarked official link. Do not trust forwarded APK files or links sent in messaging apps. If a payment is missing, check through official services and then contact the bank, CSC, or local agriculture/revenue office as appropriate.
