PM-KISAN eKYC methods, explained
The official PM-KISAN portal states that eKYC is mandatory for registered farmers. This article explains the methods without asking you to submit any personal information here.
Three eKYC routes
The official eKYC note describes OTP-based eKYC through the PM-KISAN portal or mobile app, biometric eKYC through Common Service Centres and State Seva Kendras, and face authentication through the PM-KISAN mobile app.
Which route should a farmer use?
- Use OTP-based eKYC only on the official PM-KISAN portal or official app.
- Use biometric eKYC at a CSC or authorized service point if OTP eKYC is not possible.
- Use official app-based face authentication only through the legitimate PM-KISAN app route.
Security reminder
No one should ask you to share OTP over phone, chat, or an unofficial website. This guide does not perform eKYC.
