Bima Sakhi Yojana Scheme 2025
Bima Sakhi Yojana initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the Government of India . This scheme aims to provide rural women with comprehensive insurance training and employment opportunities with incentive of Rs.48,000/- in the 1st year, making them financially independent and self-reliant. Initially rolled out in Panipat, Haryana, on December 9, 2024, the scheme targets the development of female insurance agents, aptly called “Bima Sakhis.”

Benefits of Bima Sakhi Yojana Scheme 2025
The primary goal of the Bima Sakhi Yojana is to
- Training and Stipend: Women selected under the scheme will receive insurance-related training for a period of three years. During this period, they will also be provided with a monthly stipend:
- First Year: ₹7,000 per month (Generate a First-Year Commission of ₹48,000 plus commission)
- Second Year: ₹6,000 per month (subject to 65% policy retention from the first year)
- Third Year: ₹5,000 per month (subject to 65% policy retention from the second year)
- Financial Independence: The scheme provides women with a steady source of income and the opportunity to build a career in the insurance industry.
- Skill Development: Comprehensive training equips women with the knowledge and skills to succeed as insurance agents.
- Employment Opportunities: After training, women can work as Bima Sakhis or insurance Advisors, contributing to their communities.
- Support for Rural Development: By promoting insurance awareness, the scheme helps secure financial stability in rural areas.
The government aims to initially benefit 35,000 women through this scheme in the first phase, total 2 lakhs woman will be benefited in the later phases gradually expanding it nationwide.
Bima Sakhi Yojana Eligibility Criteria
- Age Requirement: Women must be between 18 and 70 years of age.
- Educational Qualification: Minimum 10th standard pass.
- Residency: Initially applicable to women residing in Haryana, with plans to extend the scheme nationwide.
Bima Sakhi Job Duty or Goal
To continue receiving the stipend, participants must meet specific performance goals
- Sell a minimum of 24 insurance policies annually.
- Sell 2 policies per months
Who can not Apply in LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana?
